Description of key information
The melting point of zinc cyanide is 800°C, which is a substance that melts at over 300°C. According to the column 2 of the annex VII section 7.5 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), the study does not need to be conducted if the melting point is above 300°C.

To be able to run the CSA, a value for VP is needed. As the key value for CSA purposes, the minimal value accepted by CHESAR is set, i.e. 1E-06 Pa.
Indeed, QSAR models (EPISuite v4.1) predict VP values < 1E-06 Pa.
