Ambient Temperature: 19.1 °C, 20.6 °C

It should be noted that the flask is open to the atmosphere; therefore, vapours are escaping from the test apparatus over the course of the test. The more volatile vapours will vent out first, which may minimize the probability of these vapours auto igniting in the flask.

Conclusions

The auto ignition temperature was tested for the test item and determined to be 390 °C. The testing was performed in accordance with ASTM E659.
