Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity of the test item to zebrafish Danio rerio was determined according to OECD TG 203. Based on the test results the 96-hour LC50 was determined to be > 100 mg test item/L based on the nominal concentration (reference 6.1.1-1).

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

The acute immobilisation test with Daphnia magna was performed according to OECD TG 202. Under the conditons given, no immobilisation of the test animals was observed in the control and in the only test item concentration of 100 mg test item/L after 48 hours of exposure. NOEC was determined to be at least 100 mg test item/L.T he 48 hour LOEC and the 48 hour EC50 were clearly higher than 100 mg test item/L (reference 6.1.3-1).

Toxicity to aquatic algae:

In an Algal Growth Inhibition test according to OECD TG 201, no toxicity of the test item was determined up to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. The 72 hour NOEC was determined to be at least nominal 100 mg test item/L for the parameters growth rate and yield. The 72 hour EC50 and the 72 hour EC10 was determined to be higher than nominal 100 mg test item/L (reference 6.1.5-1).

Toxicity to microorganisms

Based on a low inhibition for total respiration and strong inhibiting effects on the nitrification respiration rate, the NOEC was determined to be < 10 mg/L. The EC20 for total respiration rate was determined to be > 1000 mg/L. The NOEC for heterotrophic respiration rate was calculated to be ≥ 1000 mg/L (reference 6.1.7-1).
