Additional information

Two guideline studies have been conducted by BASF SE to investigate potential long-term effects of the test substance after a single exposure on carbon and nitrogen transformation activity of soil microorganisms, respectively.

The key study examined the conversion of nitrogen to nitrate through microorganisms in soil. The study was conducted according to OECD guideline 216. At test termination after 28 days, EC10 and EC50 values were determined to be > 1000 mg/kg dw, respectively [BASF SE, 2012].

The supporting study examined the conversion of carbon to carbon dioxide in soil. The study was conducted according to OECD guideline 217 and the EC10 and the EC50 were determined to be above the limit concentration of 1000 mg/kg dw after 28 days [BASF SE, 2012].
