First-aid measures

Eye Contact: Wash immediately with plenty of water or normal saline for at least 15 minutes. Keep eyelids open with the finger. Remove the contact lenses, if present. Get medical advice if adverse symptoms will appear.

Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothes and shoes immediately. Wash affected area with soap or mild detergent and large amount of water until no evidence of substance remains (15-20 minutes). Get medical advice if adverse symptoms will appear.

Ingestion: Clean mouth with water, only if the person is conscious. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical advice if adverse symptoms will appear.

Inhalation: Remove the person from the exposed area to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical advice if adverse symptoms will appear.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media: Water spray, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder, Foam.
Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapors. Combustible material.
As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear.

Accidental release measures

Use personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with dusts/fumes/mists/vapors.
Should not be released into the environment. In case of accidental release in the environment avoid that the substance can reach drains, surface water and ground water.
Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and place in a clean and dry container for disposal.

Handling and storage

The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions.
Handle away from sparkles and flames - sources of ignition.
Avoid contact with incompatible materials.
Wear suitable Personal Protection Equipment.
Keep the substance away from drains, surface or ground waters.
Do note eat, drink and smoke in the working areas.
Wash hands after handling the substance.
Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Don’t expose to high temperatures and to to the direct light of the sun.
