Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ventilate area around spillage.  Wear suitable protective

clothing (see 2.3.1).  Contain spillage and minimise dust

formation.  Sweep up spill or use an industrial vacuum.

Transfer to a suitable container and dispose of by

incineration in accordance with local regulations.  Wash

spill site with water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Local exhaust ventilation should be in place to control dust

at the source.  Handlers should wear impervious gloves and a

full face / air purifying respirator with high efficiency

particulate filter.  During operations which may generate

dust, a tyvek body suit with hood and overshoes should be

worn.  Hands and face should be washed thoroughly after

handling.

Storage: Store in a double polyethylene lined bag, inside an air

tight, UN approved, polydrum.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Store in a double polyethylene lined bag inside a UN

approved poly drum.

Danger other than fire: The substance should not be mixed/stored with strong

oxidising agents.

Chemical reaction with water: The substance undergoes rapid hydrolysis in water, but does
