Conclusions:
The mean relative density of the test item was determined to be 1.068 (± 0.001) at 20 ± 1 °C using the gas pycnometer method.

Executive summary:

The relative density of the test item was determined in an EC A.3 method, OECD 109 and OPPTS 830.1770 guideline study using the gas comparison pycnometer method. The volume of the sample and reference cells was calculated using two calibration balls with a known volume as reference. The calibration procedure involved three separate measurements. The test procedure was repeated using different test item samples until a repeatability of < ± 0.02 g/cm3 was reached. The mean relative density of the test item was determined to be 1.068 (± 0.001) at 20 ± 1 °C.

The study is a GLP compliant guideline experimental study, fully adequate for assessment of this endpoint.

Relative density at 20C:
1.068

Additional information

The relative density of the test item was determined in two studies, one following EC A.3 method, OECD 109 and OPPTS 830.1770, using the gas comparison pycnometer method (Fieseler 2009b) and one following EC A.3 method study and OECD 109, alos using the pycnometer method (Dunning 2018). The mean relative density of the test item was determined to be in the range 1.01 to 1.068 at 20 ± 1 °C (Dunning 2018 and Fieseler 200b).

The studies are both GLP compliant, guideline experimental studies and are fully adequate for assessment of this endpoint.
