First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:
General information: May cause central nervous system depression with nausea, vomiting, dizziness and drowsiness.
Target organs: respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, eyes, skin.
IN CASE OF INGESTION:
Measures:
- If swallowed, call a physician or poison control centre immediately.
- Do not give the victim anything to eat or drink, and do not induce vomiting if the victim is unconscious.
- Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by medical personnel.
- Obtain medical help.
- Flush the mouth of the injured person with water.
IN CASE OF INHALATION: Measures:
- Take the victim into fresh air, loosen his clothes and let him rest.
- If not breathing, give artificial respiration or give oxygen by trained personnel.
- Get immediate medical attention.
IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT: Measures:
- Immediately wash skin with mild soap and plenty of water.
- Remove the contaminated clothes and shoes.
- Get medical attention especially, if irritation develops, persists or symptoms of overexposure become apparent
- Wash clothing before reuse.
IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT:
Measures:
- Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing of the eyes by separating the eyelids with fingers.
- Get medical attention especially, if irritation develops, persists or symptoms of overexposure become apparent
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
May cause central nervous system depression with nausea, vomiting, dizziness and drowsiness.
Target organs: respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, eyes, skin.
Inhalation: Harmful if inhaled. Causes chemical burns to the respiratory tract.
Skin contact: Harmful if absorbed through the skin. Causes skin burn.
Eye contact: Causes eye irritation.
Ingestion: Toxic if swallowed. Causes gastrointestinal tract burns.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Notes to physician: Treat symptomatically and supportively.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media: Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide or polymer foam. In cases of larger fires water spray should be used.
Unsuitable extinguishing media:None known.

Flammability class: C
Formation of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen fluoride and other toxic gases in the event of fire or during thermal decomposition.
Advice for firefighters:
Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Fight fire in early stages if safe to do so.
Fire in vicinity poses risk of pressure build-up and rupture.
Containers at risk of fire should be cooled with water and, if possible, removed from danger area.
When extinguishing with water pay attention to caustic burns.

Keep unprotected people away, allow only well trained experts wearing suitable protective clothing to abide in the field of accident.
For emergency responders:
Use proper personal protective equipment as listed in section 8. Use only non-sparking tools and equipment.

Environmental precautions:
Dispose of spillage and waste (product/packaging) in accordance with all applicable environmental laws. Do not allow the substance and the resulting waste to enter sewers/soil/surface or ground water. Notify the respective authorities in accordance with local law in the case of environmental pollution immediately.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section. Avoid formation of dust Collect the spilled material with non-combustible absorbent, then place into a suitable, closed, properly labelled chemical waste container for removal/disposal.
Remove all ignition sources from the affected area.

Exposure controls:
In case of a hazardous material with no controlled concentration limit it is the employer's duty to keep concentration levels down to a minimum achievable by existing scientific and technological means, where the hazardous substance poses no harm to workers.

In pursuance of work is proper foresight needed to avoid spilling onto clothes and floors and to avoid contact with eyes
and skin. Avoid inhaling vapour.

b. Other: Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure (acid-proof overalls) and boots impervious to material.
3. Respiratory protection: use appropriate respiratory protective device, if necessary. Seek professional advice prior to respirator selection or use. Use a positive pressure air supplied respirator if there is a potential for an uncontrolled release, exposure levels are not known or under any other circumstances where air purifying respirators may not provide adequate protection.
