Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance is a member of a group of glycol esters that of low toxicity. Members of the glycol esters family are poorly soluble but may hydrolize in vivo to produce the alcohol and corresponding acids. These are then rapidly eliminated.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Bioaccumulation potential:
low bioaccumulation potential
Absorption rate - oral (%):
100
Absorption rate - dermal (%):
10
Absorption rate - inhalation (%):
100

Additional information

The subject material is expected to be well absorbed following oral or inhalation exposures but poorly absorbed following dermal exposures. Once absorbed, metabolism is expected to be rapid with elimination predominantly through the urine. Bioaccumulation is not expected.
