Additional information

There is one GLP study available investigating the short-term toxicity of Tetraesters of 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)propane-1,3-diol and decanoic and octanoic acid (CAS 68441-68-9) to aquatic invertebrates according to the OECD guideline 202.

In a static test design, D. magna was exposed to water accommodated fractions (WAFs) at nominal loading rates of 10 and 100 mg/L and concentrations containing 1 and 10% of the 10 mg/L WAF for 48 h. The obtained EL50 (48 h) for daphnia immobilization is > 100 mg/L.
