Description of key information

The vapour pressure of lithium isooctadecanoate is estimated to be 2.25 E-10 Pa at 25°C. Testing is currently ongoing to confirm the QSAR estimate.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Regulation Annex XI, studies on vapour pressure do not need to be conducted as measurement is technically not feasible. Standard test methods, according to OECD guideline 104, are able to measure vapour pressure from 10 E-10 Pa to 10 E+05 Pa. The predicted vapour pressure for lithium isooctadecanoate is below 10 E-10 Pa. Therefore, the vapour pressure of lithium isooctadecanoate was estimated using a QSAR model (MPBPVP v1.43 in EPISuite v4.00, US EPA 2009), following the Modified Grain Method.
