Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. If conscious, give half a litre of water to drink immediately. Consult a doctor.
Inhalation: Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so. If conscious, ensure the casualty sits or lies down. Consult a doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media
Extinguishing media: Water. Alcohol or polymer foam. Dry chemical powder. Carbon dioxide. Use water spray to cool containers.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Exposure hazards: In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide. / In combustion emits toxic fumes of sulphur oxides. / In combustion emits toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides.
Advice for fire-fighters
Advice for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions: Refer to section 8 of SDS for personal protection details. Do not create dust. Mark out the contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorised personnel.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions: Contain the spillage using bunding. Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Clean-up procedures: Transfer to a closable, labelled salvage container for disposal by an appropriate method. Do not use equipment in clean-up procedure which may produce sparks.

Handling and storage

Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Handling requirements: Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Avoid the formation or spread of dust in the air. Avoid direct contact with the substance. Use non-sparking tools.
