- 0.05 ppm: Slight irritation of eyes and nose, odor not perceptible
- 0.10 ppm: Distinct irritation of eyes and nose, musty odor
- 1.0 ppm: Severe irritation of mucosa (eyes, nose, throat), acceptable  only for a short duration
