Description of key information

In an experiment conducted by SSS(Europe)AB,the boiling point determination of p, p’, p’’-tris (diethyl amino) trityl alcohol (CAS No. 596-49-6)was done following OECD Guideline 103 and according to the method of Siwoloboff. The test item melted in the range of 179.8°C -185.3 °C and stick to walls of test tube in the form of paste. The heating was continued till 260°C but no bubbles emerged from the capillary. The test was conducted in replicates and mean boiling point was determined to be greater than 260°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
260 °C
