Experimental data on the biodegradability of Fatty acids, C8-12, isopentylesterare not available. The assessment of ready biodegradation is based on read across the analogue substances Isopentyl laurate (CAS 6309-51-9) and Octyl octanoate (CAS 2306-88-9). Based on the ready biodegradability in water rapid degradation of the substance in aquatic and terrestrial environments is expected. Thus, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2. - 9.2.1.4., further simulation tests on biodegradability in water and sediment or soil are not necessary.
