Description of key information

Based on the ground-structure of the test substance (i.e. the aliphatic dicarboxylic acid) with a closed cup flash point of 196 °C*, it can be concluded that the test substance has a similar flash point, which is significantly higher than > 60 °C. Therefore, the flammability study is waived since no pyrophoric properties are expected based on the chemical structure. This is supported by year-long experience in handling of the test substance.
