Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The background level of EDTA in surface water was determined during a project reviewing the Water Framework Directive Priority Substances list. A mean of 10.8 µg/L EDTA was assessesd based on monitoring data of six European countries (Austria, Czech republic, Germany, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom).
