First-aid measures

Eye & Skin contact- blistering and corneal burns may result upon expsosure. - Treatment - remove contaminated clothing and/or contact lenses and drench affected eyes or skin with running water for as long as possible. Transfer to hospital
Inhalation - There may be shortness of breath with burning sensation in the throat. Exposure may cause coughing and wheezing. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive, remove to safety and fresh air. Place in recovery position, if breathing becomes difficult transfer to hospital for oxygen

Handling and storage

Avoid direct contact with the substance. As intermediate it is manufactured in closed conditions and isolated before final use

Store- in cool well ventilated area away from direct sunlight, under a blanket of inert gas. Avoid contact with water or humidity

3. Hand protection- Neoprene gloves, glove selection must reflect the cossh risk assesment and use of other solvents
4. Feet protection - impearmeable protective clothing
5. Body protection- impermeable protective clothing
6. Eye protection- tight fitting safety goggles. Ensure eye bath is to hand
7. Respiratory protection- Breathing apparatus must be available in case of emergency, Any exposure or release from strictly controlled conditions operators would wear organic vapour filter respiratory protective mask or breathing apparatus as COSHH & event dictates.
