Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water

Description of key information

In accordance with Section 9.3.1 of Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, it is considered justified to omit the testing to determine hydrolysis as a function of pH on the grounds that testing is not technically feasible due to the substance being highly insoluble in water.

According to the guideline, the concentration of test samples should not exceed half the water solubility of the test material or 0.01 M, whichever is lower. The water solubility of the test material is <0.0061 mg/L. No analytical method was available to support the hydrolysis test at this low concentration level. The test on the hydrolysis of the test material could therefore not be performed.
