Description of key information

The environmental hazard assessment for (fresh-) water organisms is supported by acute studies (pelagic compartment).

For the environmental hazard assessment of the registered substance acute toxicity studies for freshwater fish, daphnids and freshwater algae nad aquatic microorganisms. Experimental information about toxicity on marine organisms is not available.

The short-term EC50/LC50 values for fish, Daphnia and algae were 14.5, >100, and >100 mg/L.

The fish were the most sensitive trophic level in acute tests with an acute LC50 of 14.5 mg /L The LC50 (14.5 mg/L) value will be used for the risk assessment of aquatic organisms.

The growth inhibition to Pseudomonas putida MIGULA was determined in a 16 h static non-GLP growth inhibition test. The test design was based on the DIN 38412. The 16 -hour EC10 is >1000 mg/L and the EC50 is > 1000 mg/L.
