Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
275 °C
Atm. press.:
>= 1 013.5 - <= 1 030.7 hPa

Preliminary test:

The estimated auto-ignition temperature was 290°C.

Main test:

The results of the main study are reported in the table below.

Ignition of the test substance within 5 minutes after introduction was observed with each sample volume and with each test a minimum auto-ignition temperature was obtained. The maximum deviation between the three values was < 10°C.

The lowest temperature at which ignition of the test substance occurred was 275°C, which is also the auto-ignition temperature if rounded down to the nearest 5°C.

The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance at 1013.5 -1030.7 hPa was 275°C.

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature value of 275°C at 1013.5 - 1030.7 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Auto-ignition temperature: 275°C at 1013.5 -  1030.7 hPa (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
275 °C

Additional information

An auto-ignition temperature value of 275°C at 1013.5 - 1030.7 hPa was determined for the substance in accordance with EU Method A.15 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and selected as key study.

In a secondary source to which reliability could not be assigned, an auto-ignition temperature value of 360°C was reported for the substance.
