First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Call a physician if symptoms persist.

In all cases, wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink one or two glasses of water, call a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical may be used.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products will be carbon oxides.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear a positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Soak up with suitable inert absorbent material (clay, sand).

Collect into containers for disposal at an approved landfill

site or incinerator. Take precautions to avoid

ignition/combustion of material.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Wear

appropriate impervious protective clothing (butyl rubber,

neoprene) when prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact

is possible. Avoid eye contact (contact lenses should not be

worn), wear eye protection. Use in well ventilated areas,

keep away from heat and open flame.

Storage: Store in tightly closed containers, away from heat, sparks,

open flames, strong oxidising agents, strong acids and

bases.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not economically practical.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties. It is

possible to hydrolyse the substance at high pH values.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal by incineration at an authorised facility is

possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Avoid overloading/poisoning plant biomass. Ensure effluent

complies with local/national regulations.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from preparations is not feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal by incineration at an approved facility is

possible.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
