Description of key information

The material is inorganic, inert and stable. Disposal is only to hazardous waste landfill sites. Air leaving processes is filtered. Waste generated on site is recycled where possible. Measures are in place to prevent accidental release to water courses. This is a dense material that will settle rapidly from both air and liquid; distribution is only local within manufacturing and use facilities. Aluminosilicates are ubiquitous in rocks, soils and sediments and are stable over geological time ; the fibres discussed here are chemically identical, albeit of differing morphology. As the substance discussed is composed of dense, inorganic particles, which are highly insoluble standard environmental fate testing is not justified and/or not technically possible.
