No studies for Bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate (CAS 122-62-3) on the aquatic toxicity to microorganisms is available. However, toxicity to aquatic microorganisms can be excluded due to: a) the ready biodegradability and b) the high adsorption properties of this substance, resulting in an effective removal in sewage treatment plants, c) the absence of adverse ecotoxicological effects and d) the expected rapid metabolisation of this substance. Hence, based on the available information, toxicity to aquatic microorganisms by Bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate (CAS 122-62-3) is not expected to be of concern.
