Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The most sensitive BMD10 from a rat carcinogenicity study with the the analogous substance cobalt sulfate is 0.43 mg/m3, BMDL10 is 0.233 mg/m3. The BMD10 was divided by 10000 to extrapolate to a 1:100 000 risk. Allometric scaling was not applied for interspecies extrapolation as this is thought to be covered by the use of a concentration.

0.43 mg/m3 : 10000 = 43 ng/m3. Note: the structured field above for the DMEL does not allow numbers as low as this and it was consequently left blank.
