according to guideline
Guideline:
other: 92/69/EWG, Method: EC-A 13
Principles of method if other than guideline:
1. Flammability:
The test was performed as stipulated in Test Procedure A 10 and internal SOP (Standard Opertaing Procedure) "Determination of Flammability in Solid Materials".
2. Contact with Water Emit Flammable Gases:
The test was performed as stipulated in Test Procedure A 12 and the BIS SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for Determination in case of contact with water or moist air.
Stage 1: The test substance was added to a dish containing distilled water. No formation of reaction gases was observed. Attempts to ignite the gas phase above the dish with the flame of a burner produced negative results.
Stage 2: The test substance was introduced to a filter paper floating on the surface of the destilled water contained in a dish. No formation of reaction gases was observed. Attemps to ignite the gas phase above the filter paper produced negative results.
Stage 3: A few drops of water added to a sample of the test substance. No formation or reaction gases was observed. Ignition attempts of the gas phase produced neagtive results.
Stage 4: Water (ca. 20ml) was added from a dropping funnel to the quantities of the test substance specified below. Two test runs were performed.
3. Pyrophoric Properties
The test substance did not deliver indications of pyrophoric properties during the realization of tests as defined in EC-A 10 and EC-A 12.
GLP compliance:
