Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Hardly relevant.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with plenty of water and seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wipe off. Wash with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink water or milk. If more than a few grams have been

swallowed seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam or carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: Depending on temperature and oxygene supply Isocyanates,

Nitrogene oxides and amino compounds may be formed in

addition to normal combustion products.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Respiratory protection with filter for organic vapours or

self contained breathing apparatus may be

recommended.Depending on the extent of the fire and other

relevant conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect mechanically with for example a shovel or wipe up

depending on amount spilled.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid skin contact. Do not expose to heat or fire.

Storage: In closed containers at normal temperatures.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Packaging requirements is governed by the phtalate in the

preparation. Packaging material may be metal, glass or

phtalate resistant polymers.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substances is embedded in cured polyuretahane as it is

used. The final product is used in small amounts widely

dispersed. No system for recycling of such products exists

today.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No known effects that need neutralisation.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance is produced as a slurry in phatalate. The

presence of the phtalate prohibits landfill of this product.

A cured or curing finished sealant could be landfilled if

no  other components preclude this.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The product may be incinerated in a suitable equipment,

nitrogen oxides are produced on incineration. Burning at low

temperatures and or with insufficient oxygen, may produce

several poisonous products. Compare for example

polyurethanes.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not water soluble.

No special technics.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: None

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None needed

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Depending on the product in wich the substance is

incorporated.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not recomended.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: No forseeable way the substance could get into houshold

sewage systems.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: None
