Description of key information

The density and the relative density of the test substance, disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) powder was determined in a single study. A density and a relative density of 2.43 g/cm3 was obtained.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
2.43

Additional information

The density and the relative density of the test substance disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) was determined in a single study (09 -56906) according to the guideline: OECD 109. The volume of the sample was determined with a gas pycnometer . The measurement was made at the laboratory temperature, 22°C and it was shown in the study that the density measured at 22°C can be also used for SolidD420.

The obtained results showed that the density and the relative density (solidD420) of disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) is 2.43 g/cm3.
