Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

With a measured mean Kd of 43664 L/kg C36 -alkylenediamines has a strong sorption to soil.The PNEC soil is calculated using the equilibrium paritioning method as no short or long-term terrestrial test data is available for C36 -alkylenediamines.

In the absence of measured data the PNECsoilwas calculated using the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM). According to the TGD this method uses the PNECaquaticand the soil/water partitioning coefficient as inputs.

The PNECsoil is then calculated using the equations detailed in the TGD:

PNECsoil= Ksoil-water* PNECaquatic dissolved* 1000 * 1 / RHOsoil

Where:

PNECaquatic dissolved = 0.234 µg/L

Ksoil-water=  65496 m3. m-3

RHOsoil = 1700 kg. m-3(TGD, equ. 18)

PNECsoil-EPM =9.0 mg/kg ww = 10.18 mg/kg dw

PNECsoil-EPM= 0.90 mg/kg ww including the correction for exposure via ingestion= 1.02 mg/kg dw
