Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

On the basis of the structural similarity of the test substance ZK 90506 with ZK 90504 hydrolytic stability is to be expected at pH 4, 7 and 9. The rate of hydrolysis of ZK 90504 was determined at pH 4, 7 and 9 (see Schering report No. A11338). The half-lives of ZK 90504 at 25 °C are: pH 4: stable, pH 7: stable, pH 9: 2.7 a (95 % confidence limit: 2.2 to 3.5 a).

According to the criterion in EC guideline C.7 (half-life > 1 year at 25 °C) ZK 90504 is to be considered stable at pH 4, 7 and 9, 25 °C. Similar rates of hydrolysis are to be expected for the test substance ZK 90506.
