Three experimental OECD guideline studies (GLP) are available, which assessed the aquatic toxicity of the substance on two different trophic levels with Diisodecyl azelate (CAS 28472-97-1). One acute study was available with fish (Institut für gewerbliche Wasserwirtschaft und Luftreinhaltung e.V., 1993; Leuciscus idus; LC50 (96 h) >10000 mg/L) and one chronic study with Daphnia magna (Charles River, 2016; NOELR (21 d) 4.0 mg/L) and one study testing the toxicity to microorganisms (Institut für gewerbliche Wasserwirtschaft und Luftreinhaltung e.V.; EC10 (16 h) > 10000 mg/L). In order to fulfill the standard information requirements set out in Annex VII - X, in accordance with Annex XI, 1.5, of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, read-across from structurally related substances was conducted for the missing endpoint of acute toxicity to algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata; EC50 (72 h) >0.0845 mg/L; NOEC (72 h) ≥ 0.0845 mg/L).
