Gravimetric method was used to determine the solubility of the substance in organic solvent. The experimental value of solubility of aluminium, 6-hydroxy-5-[(4-sulfophenyl)azo]-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid complex in methanol at temperature of 21 deg C was found to be 400 mg/L indicating that aluminium, 6-hydroxy-5-[(4-sulfophenyl)azo]-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid complex is moderately soluble in methanol. Using the Soxhlet/Solvent extraction method the solubility of the substance in Petroleum ether is observed to be 400 mg/L at 21 degC, indicating that aluminium, 6-hydroxy-5-[(4-sulfophenyl)azo]-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid complex is moderately soluble in Petroleum ether .The solubility value of aluminium, 6-hydroxy-5-[(4-sulfophenyl)azo]-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid complex in both methanol and petroleum ether at 20 deg C is equivalent to a value of 380.952 mg/L.
