Description of key information

Additional information

Appearance:

At ambient conditions (20 °C and 101.3 kPa) Incozol 2 is a slightly viscous yellow liquid.

Freezing point:

The melting point of Incozol 2 was determined according to EU method A.1. Incozol 2 did not exhibit signs of freezing down to the minimum temperature of - 50 °C. Thus, the freezing point is expected to be < - 50°C.

Boiling point:

The boiling temperature of Incozol 2 was determined according to EU method A.2 (Siwoloboff method). The boiling temperature of Incozol 2 is determined to be 259.9 °C at 101.3 kPa.

Density:

The relative density of Incozol 2 was determined according to EU method A.3. Using the pycnometer method the relative density of Incozol 2 was determined to be 0.872 at 20 ± 0.5 °C.

Vapour pressure:

The vapour pressure of Incozol 2 was determined to be 2.5 Pa at 25 °C.

Partition coefficient:

The partition coefficient of Incozol 2 was determined according to EU method A.8 (HPLC method). The partition coefficient (log Pow) of Incozol 2 was determined to be ca. 4.2 at 25 °C.

Flah point:

The flash point of Incozol 2 was determined according to EU method A.9. Using the closed cup method the flash point of Incozol 2 was determined to be 103.1 °C.

Explosiveness:

The explosive properties of Incozol 2 were estimated according to EU method A.14. From the structural formula and the oxygen balance calculated it was concluded that Incozol 2 is not explosive. The test substance does not contain any chemically instable or highly energetic groups that might lead to an explosion.

Oxidizing properties:

The oxidizing properties of Incozol 2 were estimated according to EU method A.21. From the structural formula of Incozol 2 it was concluded that Incozol 2 has no oxidizing properties. The test substance does not contain any chemical group that might act as an oxidizing agent.
