Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH annex IX, further degradation testing does not need to be conducted as the chemical is highly insoluble in water. Furthermore, sediment simulation testing is not reqiuired as direct or indirect exposure is unlikely.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance has the function of an catalyst, therefore it is always regenerated in industrial application and not intendently discharged. Furthermore, the substance is used only in industrial application where risk management measure are installed to avoid any contamination of the environment. Simulation testing in water can further be disregarded as the substance is highly insoluble in water (water solubility 8.66 E-05 - 4.3E-07 mg/l (based on Log KOW (WSKow v.1.42)). Sediment siumlation testing does not need to be conducted if , in accordance with Column 2 adaptation statement of REACH Annex IX, information requirement 9.2.1.4 , direct or indirect exposure to sediment is unlikely.
