Emergency measure - Ingestion: No special precautions. If unwell, seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Water, carbon dioxide,

foam and dry powder are suitable extinguishing agents.

Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Carbon and nitrogen oxides

together with some soot may be formed.

Protective equipment: Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear protective

clothing and a respirator.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid skin and eye contact and inhalation of dust (cf.

2.3.1). Collect spillage and place in suitable containers

for disposal.

Handling and storage

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery by recrystallisation is possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable if used as intended. [UK c.a. has queried

this assertion].

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at an approved landfill site, isolated to prevent

seepage, is possible. Observe local and national

regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen

oxides should be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Small amounts only will be dissolved in waste water as the

substance has a low water solubility. No information is

available concerning degradation in sewage plants. The

substance may be separated from water by filtration.

Residues may be concentrated by recycling water. [UK c.a.:

See 92 06 0414 00]

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain. [UK

c.a.: Preparations containing the substance will enter the

public domain].
