Three short-term studies are available investigating the toxicity to fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae. All studies were performed according to internationally accepted guidelines and GLP. Aquatic algae turned out to be the most sensitive species with an EL10 (72 h) of 1.76 mg/L and an EL50 (72 h) of 23.54 mg/L based on growth rate. Freshwater fish were about 2 times less sensitive with a LL50 (96 h) of 60.1 mg/L whereas the EL50 (48 h) for Daphnia magna was 36.1 mg/L. Additional long-term studies with fish and/or aquatic invertebrates were not considered to be necessary since the Chemical Safety Assessment according to Annex I of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 does not indicate the need.
