Test solutions

Vehicle:
yes
Remarks:
Algal growth medium (OECD Medium) containing 70 μL acetone in 700 mL solution was divided into 6 replicates, inoculated with algal cells (without test item) and examined in parallel to the test item concentrations and the untreated control.
Details on test solutions:
A stock solution (StS) was prepared by solving 2.5006 g test item in 5 mL acetone.
The test solutions were prepared by using 50 μL of each WS completed to 500 mL with OECD test
medium. The test solutions were then shaken for 5 minutes (300 rpm), and filtered through a 0.45 μm
filter.

fluorescent lamps were used with continuous lighting with light intensity of
7130-7380 lux.
Test temperature:
test temperature was
measured continuously with a min/max thermometer and remained between 22.5 and 23.8 °C. The
water temperature was determined at least daily in one vessel filled with water only. The water
temperature was measured to be between 22.9 and 23.5 °C.

Nominal and measured concentrations:
The following nominal concentrations were tested: 0.15, 0.48, 1.53, 4.88, 15.63 and 50.0 mg/L.
Details on test conditions:
The pH varied by not more than 1.5 units of the controls. the test temperature was
measured continuously with a min/max thermometer and remained between 22.5 and 23.8 °C. The
water temperature was determined at least daily in one vessel filled with water only. The water
temperature was measured to be between 22.9 and 23.5 °C.
