- Justification:
Due to the rapid hydrolysis of the parent compound palmitoyl chloride (CAS 112-67-4), the environmental assessment is mainly based on its hydrolysis product palmitic acid (CAS 57-10-3).
Neither palmitoyl chloride nor palmitic acid fulfil the criteria for P/vP, B/vB nor T; therefore it can be concluded that they are neither PBT, nor vPvB substances.
