Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of N,N'-[(methylimino)bis(trimethylene)] bis(oleamide) was determined by the "effusion method: vapour pressure balance" according to OECD Guideline 104 (23 March 2006) and according to the test method A.4."Vapour Pressure" as described in the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

Before performing the test to determine the vapour pressure, the thermal stability of the test item was assessed with a DSC-measurement up to a temperature of 300 °C.

In the temperature range of 30 – 50°C the test item showed an endothermic effect, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. No further thermal effects could be observed up to the maximum test temperature of 300 °C.

The vapour pressure for five temperatures was measured in the temperature range of 120.9 °C to 140.8 °C.

The vapour pressure of N,N'-[(methylimino)bis(trimethylene)] bis(oleamide) was calculated by extrapolation of the measured vapour pressure curve for the temperatures 20, 25 and 50 °C.

At 20 °C, the vapour pressure is 1.9 E-3 Pa.

At 25 °C, the vapour pressure is 2.2 E-3 Pa.

At 50 °C, the vapour pressure is 3.9 E-3 Pa.
