Reference
Name:
Reaction mass of [µ- (5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexylamine-N,N’)]hexafluorodiboron and methanol
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
> 40 - < 60 % (w/w)
Reference substance:
Reaction mass of [µ- (5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexylamine-N,N’)]hexafluorodiboron and methanol
Reference substance:
Reaction mass of [µ- (5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexylamine-N,N’)]hexafluorodiboron and methanol
This additive is considered relevant for the classification and labelling of the substance
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The test item attained 69% biodegradation after 28 days.  Under the strict terms and conditions of OECD Guideline No. 301B the test item cannot be considered to be readily biodegradable as the test item failed to satisfy the 10-Day window validation criterion, whereby 60% biodegradation must be attained within 10 days of the biodegradation exceeding 10%.  However, the test item has exhibited the potential for rapid biodegradation. (Not P)

The partition coefficient(Pow)of the test item has been determined to be less than 3.81 x 10-3 at 21.0 ± 0.5°C, log10Pow<-2.34, using the shake flask method, designed to be compatible with Method A.8 Partition Coefficient of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 107 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995. (Not B)

Short term (acute) aquatic toxicity was testing using juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), Daphnia magna and Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata strain CCAP 278/4.

The 96-h LC50 value is >47 mg/L in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) was 47 mg/L The 48 h EC50 (immobilisation) value with Daphnia magna is 62 mg/I. The 48 h NOEC (immobilisation) value with Daphnia magna is 25 mg/L. The 48 h LOEC (immobilisation) value with Daphnia magna is 50 mg/L. The Inhibition of Growth rate in Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata ErC50, NOEC and LOEC were 47, 25 and 50 mg/L and the Inibition of Yield EyC50, NOEC and LOEC were 28, 12.5 and 25 mg/L respectively.
