In the screening test according to Grewer with the pure product an endothermal effect was observed in the temperature range 80 - 220°C, followed by an exothermal effect starting at 220°C. A multistage reaction was observed which led to a maximum product temperature of more than 700°C.

In the screening test with the kieselgur mixture (1:1) a self-heating was detected at 240 °C. A multistage reaction was observed which led to a maximum product temperature of more than 600 °C

After the test the the pure product consisted of green an black residues.

Conclusions:
The test item has not to be classified as self-heating substance according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, Annex I, 2.11.4
