Description of key information
A reliable toxicity study with microorganisms is not available due to the technical feasibility of the test. During preliminary work significant volatilisation of the test substance was incurred after just one hour of aeration. In addition, the calculated Henry's Law constant suggests that significant losses of the substance due to volatalisation may occur under the test conditions employed, making it not technically possible to conduct this study. Therefore, it is considered technically justified to waive this study. However, 35% degradation of the test substance was recorded in the OECD 301F biodegradation test indicating that the test substance was not inhibitory to the sewage treatment microorganisms used in the study.
