Exposure controls / personal protection

Technical protection measures: Ensure a well-ventilated workplace.

Organisational protection measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and
at the end of the working day.

Hand protection: When repeated or sustained contact can occur, wear protective gloves (nitrile rubber, EN 374). The manufacturer's advice on permeability and breakthrough time should be considered. Replace gloves after each use and upon signs of abrasion or perforation.

Feet protection: No further information available.

Control parameters: The general dust exposure limits of 1.25 mg/m³ for respirable (A-dust) and 10 mg/m³ for inhalable (E-dust) fractions must be observed. Single shift average values must not exceed a value of 3 mg/m³ for the A-dust fraction. See TRGS 900 for details.

Body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing. EN 340.

Eye protection: Wear tightly fitting safety goggles (EN 166).

Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory protective equipment. EN 143. In case of dust formation: Dust mask. Respiratory protection should only be used for controlling residual risks at short-term activities when all standard measures for hazard control have been observed, e.g. containment and/or local exhaust ventilation. See DGUV 112-190 for details on use of respiratory protective equipment.
