First-aid measures

First-aid measures after inhalation:

Move the affected person away from the contaminated area and into the fresh air. If irritation persists, consult a doctor.

First-aid measures after skin contact:

Rinse skin . Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear. If irritation persists, consult a doctor.

First-aid measures after eye contact:

Ensure adequate flushing of eyes by separating eyelids with the fingers. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Consult an ophthalmologist if irritation persists.

First-aid measures after ingestion:

Rinse mouth out with water. Get medical advice/attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray. Foam. Powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Sand.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire

Explosion hazard:Dust may form explosive mixture in air.

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire:Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Nitrogen oxides

Accidental release measures

Emergency procedures: Evacuate personnel to a safe area. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not breathe dust. Eliminate every possible source of ignition. Prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge.

For containment:Make spills wet to prevent the generation of dust. Take up mechanically (sweeping, shovelling) and collect in suitable container for disposal.

Methods for cleaning up:Hose down area with water.

Other information:Dispose of in accordance with relevant local regulations.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid the formation or spread of dust in the atmosphere. Extraction to remove dust at its source. Do not breathe dust. Avoid the build-up of electrostatic charge.

Hygiene measures: Do not drink, eat or smoke in the workplace. Always wash hands after handling the product. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Storage conditions:Keep container tightly closed and in well ventilated place. Protect from light. Keep away from heat.

Incompatible materials:Alkalines.

Packaging materials:Packing material to avoid metallic packaging.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Appropriate engineering controls:Ensure good ventilation of the work station. Extraction to remove dust at its source.

Personal protective equipment: Personal protective equipment should be chosen according to the current standards and in discussion with the supplier of the protective equipment

Hand protection:Protective gloves

Eye protection:Safety glasses

Skin and body protection:Protective clothing

Respiratory protection:Dust mask (FFP1)

Other information:Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking or smoking and when leaving work

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity : Reacts with alkalines. Dust may form explosive mixture in air.

Chemical stability : Stable at ambient temperature and under normal conditions of use.

Possibility of hazardous reactions : None under normal conditions.

Conditions to avoid : Heat. Light sensitive. Avoid the build-up of electrostatic charge.

Incompatible materials : Alkalines

Hazardous decomposition products: Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous decomposition products should not be produced. Decomposes on exposure to temperature rise.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:Comply with local regulations for disposal.

Ecology - waste materials: Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
