Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Seek medical assistance if feeling discomfort during use of this substance.
If breathed in, move person into fresh air.
In case of skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water.
In case of eye contact: Rinse the affected eye with plenty of water, at the same time keep the unaffected eye well protected.
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Alcohol-resistant foam, Dry powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Water spray jet
Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Under certain conditions of combustion traces of other toxic substances cannot be excluded.
Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Use water spray to cool unopened containers. Observe standard procedure for chemical fires.
Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Please observe escape and rescue routes!
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Wear personal protective equipment. Unprotected persons must be kept away. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Prevent spreading over a wide area (e.g. by containment or oil barriers).
Retain and dispose of contaminated wash water.
Methods for cleaning up: Pick up with liquid binding materials and if necessary fill in containers capable of being locked.
Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. Dispose of absorbed material in
accordance with the regulations.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact of the substance.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Vapours may form explosive mixtures with air Keep away from heat and sources
of ignition. Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge. Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection.
Hygiene measures: General industrial hygiene practice. Keep away from food and drink. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Please thoroughly clean and care for the skin after finishing work. Follow the skin protection plan.
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Protect from moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Engineering measures: Product should be worked up in closed equipment as far as possible. Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166.
Hand protection: Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific
to place of work. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifica-tions of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Take note of the information given by the producer concern-ing permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical
strain, duration of contact).
Suitable: Nitrile rubber gloves, Polychloroprene gloves.
Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Gloves should be discarded and replaced if there is any indication of degradation or chemical breakthrough.
Gloves must be rinsed thoroughly after use.
Skin and body protection: Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concen-tration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the specific
workplace, e.g. apron, boots, protective suit (EN 14605, EN ISO 13982-1, EN 13034).
Respiratory protection: No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. In the case of vapour formation use a respirator with an approved
filter. Respiratory protection complying with DIN EN 14387. Respirator with filter type ABEK.
General Protective measures: Do not breathe vapours, aerosols or mists. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Stability and reactivity
No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.
No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks. Protect from moisture.
Materials to avoid: Strong acids and oxidizing agents
When handled and stored appropriately, no dangerous decomposition products are known
Disposal considerations
This material and its container should be disposed of as hazardous waste. Dispose of in conjunction with appropriate waste disposal authorities and in accordance with disposal regulations.
Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste. For disposal of packaging local regulation is binding.
