First-aid measures

4.1. Description of first aid measures
Remove contaminated clothing.
If inhaled:
Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention.
On skin contact:
Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
On contact with eyes:
Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open.
On ingestion:
Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water.
4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms: The most important known symptoms and effects are described in the labelling (see
section 2) and/or in section 11.
Further important symptoms and effects are so far not known.
4.3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment: Treat according to symptoms (decontamination, vital functions), no known specific
antidote.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1. Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media:
water spray, carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder
Unsuitable extinguishing media for safety reasons:
water jet
5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, irritant gases/vapours, toxic gases/vapours
Do not release chemically contaminated water into drains, soil or surface water. Sufficient measures
must be taken to retain the water used for extinguishing. Dispose of contaminated water and soil
according to local regulations.
5.3. Advice for fire-fighters
Special protective equipment:
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information:
The degree of risk is governed by the burning substance and the fire conditions. Contaminated
extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with official regulations.

Accidental release measures

6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Sources of ignition should be kept well clear. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing.
6.2. Environmental precautions
Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.
6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Pick up with suitable absorbent material (e.g. sand, sawdust, general-purpose binder, kieselguhr).
Collect waste in suitable containers, which can be labeled and sealed.

Handling and storage

7.1. Precautions for safe handling
Avoid vapor formation. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Provide good ventilation of working
area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).
Protection against fire and explosion:
Avoid all sources of ignition: heat, sparks, open flame.
7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Further information on storage conditions: Segregate from foodstuffs. Keep only in the original
container. Protect from cold. Keep container tightly closed.
