Description of key information

The material melted on contact with the Bunsen flame but did not ignite or propagate combustion.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The Combustibility of the test substance was determined in accordance with EU Test A.10. A train of powder about 250 mm long, 20 mm wide and 10 mm high was ignited at one end suing an aerated Bunsen flame. The type of decomposition and the rate of burning were recorded. Based on the screening test, the material melted on contact with the Bunsen flame but did not ignite or propagate combustion.

The material is not classified as dangerous with respect to its combustibility (bulk powder burning properties) under the current UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of the flammability study, the test substance is not classified as flammable according to the current EU-CLP regulation.
