Additional information

Trilead bis(carbonate) dihydroxide is a white powder with a melting point above 500°C which enables the waiving of boiling point and vapour pressure studies. As it is an inorganic substance, flash point and partition coefficient studies do not have to be conducted. The relative density is determined to be 7.006 ± 0.029 and the average particle diameter of TBD was found to be less than 250 µm and higher than 125 µm.

The test item was not considered as highly flammable under the experimental conditions and the auto inflammibility test demonstrated that there is no self ignition temperature of TBD up to 422 °C (corrected value).

TBD has a water solubility below 1 mg/L which permits the waiving of the surface tension study.
