First-aid measures general : Obtain medical attention. If possible show this sheet, if not available show packaging or label.

First-aid measures after inhalation : Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration.

First-aid measures after skin contact : Get medical advice/attention. Wash off with soap and plenty of water.

First-aid measures after eye contact : Immediately flush eyes thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Get immediate medical advice/attention.

First-aid measures after ingestion : Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms/effects after inhalation : May cause respiratory irritation.

Symptoms/effects after skin contact : Irritation.

Symptoms/effects after eye contact : Eye irritation.

Suitable extinguishing media : Water spray. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide. Alcohol resistant foam.

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Nitrogen oxides. Sulphur oxides.

Protection during firefighting : If necessary, use an autonomous respiratory protection for the fire control.

General measures : Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid inhaling vapors, fogs of pulverizing or gases. Ensure there is adequate ventilation. Evacuate personnel to a safe area.

Methods for cleaning up : Soak up with inert absorbent material and dispose of as hazardous waste. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

1. Precautions for safe handling

Precautions for safe handling : Avoid breathing vapours, mist. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear personal protective equipment.

Hygiene measures : Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Always wash hands after handling the product.

2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Storage conditions : Carefully close all opened container and kept upright to prevent leakage. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Store in a dry place. Store in a closed container.

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 18(4) for transported isolated intermediate. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management system is available at each site. Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every Downstream user of the intermediate.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls:

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and after work.

Hand protection:

Manipulate with gloves. Gloves have to be controlled before the use. Use a technique of withdrawal of gloves suited to avoid that the skin contacts

the product (i.e. without touching the outside surface of the glove). Throw gloves contaminated after the use according to the current laws and to the

good practices of laboratory. Wash and dry hands. The selected gloves have to satisfy the specifications of the EU Directive 89 / 686 / EEC and in

the standard IN 374 which derives from it.

Eye protection:

Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166. Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU).

Skin and body protection:

Impervious clothing. The type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace.

Respiratory protection:

When risk assessment shows that the breathing apparatus uilisationdes is appropriate, use a full face mask with versatile cartridge (U.S.) or type ABEK (EN 14387). If the mask is the only protection using a self-contained breathing apparatus with full face shield. Use of equipment and components tested and approved by NIOSH and CEN (EU).

Environmental exposure controls:

Avoid release to the environment. Do not flush down sewers.

Waste treatment methods : Offer surplus and non-recyclable solutions to a licensed disposal company. Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material. Dispose of contaminated packaging as unused product.
