Additional information

A collection of publication is made:

- According to Krasny (1965), melting point of ETU (imidazolidine-2-thione) equals 194°C.

- in Lin et al. (1977), we found 197-201°C.

- in 9 publications described in Belstein, 197-199°C is indicated.

- in 5 another publications described in the Beilstein, 198-200°C.

- in the Merck Index, 203-204°C.

- in 10 publications coming from ADS on STN, 196-204°C.

- and finally in 4 other publications of ACS on STN, melting point of ETU is about: 193-196°C

The melting of ETU (imidazolidine-2 -thione) is on the range 194 -204°C. Since the melting point range of ETU is too high, we decided at MLPC to control the melting point of his substance, and we have found 199°C.
